» New Army Website Launches

After 4 months and three months ahead of schedule we've finally launched the new Army work as Phase 1 of Armyjobs.mod.uk goes live. OK, it is more like Phase 0.9 but we still made it. Ideas are like "noses" – everyone has one – but realising them is the hard part.

What have we got? Well, there's the One Army Recruiting landing page/home page experience (the bit with the hands) that links in with the TV, press and radio work. This bit of the site also includes the first hint of Army TV – a social media blogging widget for the films that you can see below – go forth and embed it, now! There's the job explorer and Army Pathfinder (for which I drew hundreds of logos but we chose the one you see on the site).

What isn't there? Phase 2 will feature Army TV, Tough Questions, interactive tools and mini sites where you see the big feature picture areas (retro fitting the ArmyFit website, making training simulators like a first person perspective assault course etc). Blogs and video diaries of real soldiers, contextual content, personal pages (MyArmyJobs) and more.

Pheww. Will I be there to see it through to the end? Err, almost. But it's going to be fun to see if we can squeeze it in to a month's notice.
